The young athlete was diagnosed with thyroid cancer when he was 13. Also, initially, he didn’t tell anyone that he was struggling. But one day, his coach Duez Henderson, noticed that he was not doing well. So, he brought him home from a workout and informed his mom that he seemed to run out of energy much more quickly than usual and was finding it difficult to catch his breath after drills.

Furthermore, the professional player was taken to the doctor, and the ultrasound report showed that a tumor partially blocked his airway. He later had surgery to remove the tumor. Unfortunately, the pathology report showed that the tumor was malignant, and they learned it was cancerous.

Then, he had his second operation to remove the remaining thyroid and lymph node parts in April 2014. He went through iodine treatments. Finally, the scan showed no signs of cancer.
