He also started his playing career on the basketball varsity under coach Jack Curran at the same school and graduated in 1967. In addition to that, he graduated as the school’s fifth all-time leading scorer with 1,258 points and was the team’s top scorer.

Moreover, in 1968, he went to play basketball at Providence College and was one of the best players. Jim was the team captain and led the college team to an NIT appearance as a senior. He graduated from Providence in 1971 with an economics degree.

Is A Proud Father Of Two

Alongside the blissful marital life, Jim Larranaga and his wife are proud parents of two sons, Jay Larranaga and Jon Larranaga. 

Liz and Jim Larranaga’s son, Jay, was born in January 1975. After graduating from St. John’s Jesuit High School, he joined Bowling Green State University and graduated in 1997. Jay was active in the college basketball team and played under his father’s coaching.

The eldest Larranaga currently works as an assistant coach of the Los Angeles Clippers. Moreover, he is married to Sarah Ashley Mespelt. Also, he has two kids, Tia Larranaga and James Larranaga.

On the other hand, Jim’s second son, Jon, is also married to Elyssa Hijazi Larranaga. Together they have two kids, Jon and Henry Larranaga.
