Unfortunately, having struggled with cancer, he had to go through a lot during the treatment. However, he was awarded the Paul Hunter Scholarship, which allowed him to practice with professional players.

Many are wondering about the professional snooker player’s personal information. So, let’s talk more about Jack’s family, career, and net worth in this article.

His Grandfather Was A Ukrainian Immigrant

Jack was born on June 25, 1991, to English parents. Raised in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, he is the eldest of the two children. He has a younger sister named Isobel Lisowski.

While he was into snooker from a very young age, Jack Lisowski’s sister was always fascinated with physiological studies. She graduated from the University of Bristol with a Physiological Science and Biomedical Sciences degree in 2018.

Jack Lisowski’s grandfather was a displaced Ukrainian person who settled in England after the First World War. The former was very interested in knowing the other side of his heritage as he mentioned he was told his surname was Polish. Jack has always wanted to support his quarter Ukrainian side and was very saddened by the Russia-Ukraine turmoil in 2022.

Moreover, the cancer survivor wanted to wear a badge of tribute to a war-torn Ukraine in the 2022 Betfred World Snooker Championship. But, he was refused as the organizers cited that the sport can’t be used as a political platform.

Likewise, the snooker pro started playing snooker with ping pong balls when he was seven. His passion for the game prospered further when he attended a snooker club. Jack Lisowski’s father recognized his interest and took him to the Westgate Club, owned by former professional snooker player Nick Pearce‘s father, Jack Pearce.

Also, Jack took snooker and his studies at the Chosen Hill School side-by-side, but he was struck by devastating news when he was 16. He was diagnosed with cancer, and that put him down immensely. However, the snooker player vowed to come back stronger and regain his full fitness and start practicing.

It took Lisowski nine months of chemotherapy and physiotherapy to recover from cancer, and he has been advocating for it. Furthermore, he is an ambassador for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
