The Predators’ head coach is married to Sarah Mikla Hynes, a former volleyball coach. A talented student-athlete, John Hynes’ wife, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in movement science from the University of Pittsburgh. She also earned her master’s degree while working as an assistant volleyball coach at the same university.

Later, John’s partner was hired as an assistant coach by the University of Dayton. Then, after two years, she returned to her hometown and became the director of volleyball operations at the University of Wisconsin. There, she met her future husband, John, who was working under then-head coach Mike Eaves as an assistant coach for the Badgers.
