The athlete started playing basketball at a very young age. She joined a basketball club in her hometown, Girona, at the age of fourteen. She entered Uni Girona CB at youth levels and later made it to the senior team and the Spanish second tier.

At nineteen, Xargay joined CB Avenida from Salamanca, where she won two leagues, three cups, and one EuroLeague.

Marta Xargay Is A Proud Mother Of One

Aside from her success, the renowned basketball player has a beautiful family of three, which includes her wife and their daughter.

The lovebirds welcomed their baby girl, Ruby Mae Stewart Xargay on August 9, 2021, via surrogacy. They announced the birth of their little bundle of joy on social media.

In one of her interviews, Marta said she wasn’t ready to get pregnant, and her partner wasn’t as well. So, they started looking into surrogacy.

Before the birth of their baby, Stewart gave a dominant performance in helping Team USA defeat Team Japan for the gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
