Tom Hankins is an up-and-coming head coach for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the NBA G-League. He came through the ranks and got an opportunity to coach in the G-League after a series of successes in the NCAA tournaments.

Hankins started his official coaching career in 1991. Well, he was appointed as the assistant coach for Northwest Missouri State for the 1991-92 season before joining the East Central High School in Tulsa.
Likewise, the basketball enthusiast then joined Oral Roberts University and served the team as the assistant coach in 1997. He worked with head coaches Barry Hinson and Scott Sutton. It was a tremendous experience for Tom as he guided his team to five Summit League titles and participated in three NCAA tournaments.
