On November 15, 1989, Dawson was born and is currently associated with Clemson Tigers Football Team. He played as a punter for the NCAA Division I side.

His talents were soon recognized by the then technical director of the Gwinnett Soccer Academy, Campbell Chapman, when he saw Zimmerman showcase an intense performance in the GSA South Complex, Georgia. Chapman then approached the player’s parents to suggest he play for the U-10 Academy team. He also played for Brookwood High School.

Coming from a Christian family, Walker was lucky to have a family full of athletes. His maternal grandfather, Jimmy Long, was a football player from 1951 to 1954, while his great grandfather, Howell Long, played in the late 1920s. Both were the captains of their teams.

In 2020 after two successful seasons, Zimmerman was traded by another expansion club Nashville SC in exchange for $1.25 million in General Allocation Money. Not just that, Zimmerman became the first player ever to score in Nashville SC’s history on February 29, 2020. Nashville is also reported to sign USA’s Shaq Moore. Walker also competes with Aaron Long, Antonee Robinson, and Miles Robinson.

According to Broadway Sports Media, the US national athlete is the third-highest earner in the Nashville team. Walker signed a contract extension with Nashville till 2025, which will see him earn $2.5 million yearly, potentially making him the highest-paid defender in the league.
