The Blues’ head coach was born on the 17th of December, 1965, to Ramona Berube and Roger Berube. He grew up in Calahoo, Alberta, with his sister, April Calihoo. While he has already left his hometown, Craig Berube’s parents still reside there. Furthermore, his dad and mom host a family barbecue every summer when he returns home. Even when Craig coached his team to a Stanley Cup in 2019, his family celebrated along with the entire hamlet of Calahoo.

Furthermore, Craig Berube’s father played in a weekly hockey league at Calahoo Arena even in his late 70s. All the elders in the town used to get together and play. Then, the Calahoo native started his coaching job as a player-assistant coach with the Philadelphia Phantoms. Later, he coached the Chicago Wolves. After serving as an assistant coach of the St. Louis Blues for a year in 2017, the sports personality replaced Mike Yeo and became the interim head coach. Following the 2019 Stanley Cup Finals victory, he was named head coach and has held the position since.

In February 2022, the head coach signed a three-year contract extension with St. Louis Blues. Although the deal’s worth was not made public, it must guarantee a notable salary.
