Lauren went to Holicong Middle School from 1997 to 2000. Then, she attended Central Bucks East High School, from where she graduated in 2003. After completing high school studies, Crandall attended Wake Forest University. She graduated in 2007 magna cum laude with a communication major. She also minored in International studies.

Moreover, Crandall received a Masters of Public Administration from DeVry University‘s Keller Graduate School of Management.

The sportsperson first started playing hockey in 1998 during her middle school days. During her high school days, she played both hockey and soccer and was named team captain twice for each sport.
