Apart from NBA, Davis has also worked as a referee in CBA and collegiate basketball for three years. Furthermore, in one of the interviews, Davis revealed his fondest memory of NBA officiating was during his second or third year working a Finals game with Danny Crawford and James Capers, with whom he grew up in the same neighborhood. He was also good friends with Capers’ younger brother.
