Nerea was born on January 2, 2002, in Albalat dels Sorrells, Valencia, Spain. When she was small, Nerea Marti’s parents ran a bar in their village in Valencia. Racing was not something that she did from a young age, unlike many other racers. Instead, she used to spend most of her time playing in the local parks and streets with her friends.

Moreover, Nerea Marti’s father, Miguel Marti Tamarit, is a former bike racer. In 2011, he and his brother opened their own kart track, Karting Horta Nord. Nerea then started to kart just as a hobby. On the other hand, her family, who were unknown of the competitive side of the karts, were happy for her to drive rental karts for fun. As well as, Marti’s parents were reluctant to let her get too carried away with racing due to the uncertainty regarding the money required to fund her.

In 2015, Nerea Marti’s mother and father finally gave in, and they set up the Karting Horta Nord team. After that, she began participating in several racing events and has now made a good name for herself. Talking about her educational background, the driver attended Colegio Alfinach. Then, she went to Complejo Educativo de Cheste, where she received her high school diploma.

Furthermore, the Spain native is currently enrolled at Escuela Europea del Deporte, where she is pursuing a Master’s in sports psychology and sports coaching. However, in 2020, she had plans to study public relations and marketing at college.
