The MMA fighter was born on March 5, 1993, in Korday, Kazakhstan. He is nicknamed Ataman and grew up in Kyrgyzstan.

Rafael Fiziev’s father, an Azerbaijan native, worked for twenty years in the criminal investigation department. He was involved in combating drug trafficking in the division. Moreover, Rafael’s dad gave him his first boxing gloves. But, he wasn’t much interested in fighting earlier on.
